Why Alimentz® is superior to other products for heartburn

Alimentz® is unlike other heartburn relief products. It is not an antacid and is not intended for neutralizing stomach acid like the typical chewable chalk tablets nor does it inhibit acid production like many prescription products and therefore is free of their side effects. Prokinetics 
Alimentz® allows for your stomach acid to properly digest food so that the bolus can enter the small intestines. This action prepares for absorption of the nutrients in your food. Unlike prokinetics Alimentz® won’t cause mal nutrition due to incomplete digestion.

Prokinetics helps make the stomach empty faster. This group includes bethanechol (Urecholine) and metoclopramide (Reglan). Prokinetics have frequent side effects that limit their usefulness—fatigue, sleepiness, depression, anxiety, and problems with physical movement.
